The request you've sent via Rightly was explicit in its expected action from the business. The first thing it states is the following:
"Please process this request internally and on my behalf, do not direct me to a self service process or online form."
We confirmed with the ICO that the company should be referring your request to the relevant place internally and actioning it, not making you jump through hoops. Please let Rightly's support team know via support@right.ly so we can help!
Here's a response template to help push back on the company:
Dear Privacy Team,
In my initial request I asked to not be directed to a self service process or online form.
I have contacted you from an email I know you have on record for me as I have an email from you in my inbox.
Please search your systems using the email we are communicating via and if you find a current record of my information, delete it in line with my rights under UK GDPR.
Please confirm you have understood my request or whether you need further information from me at this time.
